What is my Cutout made of?
Our Cutouts are printed
directly to the substrate and are generally made of Gator Foam, we chose
this substrate for its longevity and strength. We also offer Cutouts on
Corrugated Plastic, Foam Board or Gator Plast, we will help you decide which
material will best suit your needs and budget. For an additional cost you
can choose the Satin gloss photo finish and laminating which adds life to
the photo.
How much time is needed to make my Cutout?
Generally it takes 5 to 7 days for production and approximately 5 business
days for ground shipping depending on your location and the size of the
Cutout. We will give you an estimated production time based on your
individual project.
Are Rush Orders available?
We will do rush orders within 48 hours for an additional $50 fee for your
first item and 15% for each additional item. Your order must be confirmed
before noon Eastern Time zone in order to achieve this time frame.
When does Production start?
Your Cutout is started after
we receive your photo, confirmation and payment for the order.
How will my Cutout stand?
Your Cutout comes with an
attached easel back. We can custom make detachable easels for tradeshows or
whatever your needs may be.
How do I choose the size of my
cutout?
If you want your Cutout life-size you need know the
approximate height of the person, animal, motorcycle, etc. Keep in mind if
you tell us a total of 6 foot tall and the person has their arms over their
head, we measure from the top of the hands to the bottom of the feet
therefore the actual person may only be 5 foot tall instead of the intended
6 foot tall.
Do you fix photos?
Standard repair
is included (red eye removal, lightening of photo, etc). Extensive photo
repair or removing another person touching the image to be cut is an
additional fee of $50 per half hour.
What can you make a
cutout of?
We make Cutouts of almost anything you can imagine
with the exception of a professional athlete, movie star or anything that
has been copyrighted. If you have a picture such as a professional athlete
it must be one that you have taken therefore you own that picture. If you do
not own the photo you must assume all copyright laws apply.
Again, the only
way we can print a celebrity or any copyrighted material is with written
permission of the owner. Sorry, No exceptions to this rule.
What is an embellishment?
All of our Cutouts are hand cut so we
love adding silk flowers, crystals, glitter, stuffed animals or whatever
might make the Cutout come to life. Imagine for a 50th wedding anniversary
the original wedding picture of the Bride & Groom with silk flowers
embellished over the bridal bouquet and grooms boutonnière or a picture of a
child holding a teddy bear with a real stuffed teddy bear in their hands.

Direct board Cutouts
are great for parties. Have your family & friends sign the back of your
Cutout for a lasting remembrance.
Can I have other people in
my Cutout?
There is an additional charge for the second person
of $50 on the large and medium Cutouts, $25 for the bookcase and small
Cutouts, and 15% for each additional person for all sizes.
How do I get my photo to you?
You have three options. First, you
can download your photo to our website: www.avoncutouts.com, Second, you can
mail it or Third, you can drop it off at our show room located at 8499 E. US
Hwy 36, Avon Indiana 46123. We want you to be sure you are sending your Best
quality so remember the better the photo the better the Cutout… Hence our
phrase GIVE US YOUR BEST SHOT.. It is always about the photo and we stress
this as mush as possible. Remember to check our website for “Photo Tips” and
please DO NOT send us a copy of a photo from the web or from a copy printer
as the pixilation will make the photo unclear.
The Cutout is
a little blurry. Why?
Again it is about the photo... the poorer
quality the photo the more pixilation you will see on a life size Cutout...
If we suspect any problems with its quality, we will not print it until we
notify you and get written and/or a verbal ok to start the Cutout. We are
not responsible for the quality of your photos, if it’s blurry or doesn’t
look that great at a 4”x 6” size or on the computer screen, we can not work
magic to make it look clear at 6 foot tall. We will do our best to remove
red eye but all photos can not be repaired.. Again, please check our “Photo
Tips” for any questions on what the best photo’s are.
Will I
get my photo back?
If you mail us a photo, CD or DVD -- please
include a self-addressed stamped envelope or shipping label and we will
return it to you.
Why won’t you make my Cutout?
Avon Cutouts reserves the right to refuse a Cutout at our discretion.
How long will my Cutout last?
A Cutout should last
up to 3 years as it is UV resistant – however direct sunlight will damage
the image over a period of time. Under normal conditions of 60 to 80 degrees
with normal humidity and normal care your cutout can last indefinitely.
Please note we assume no responsibility for the use of your cutout or the
way you mount it.
What is your refund policy?
We
are not responsible for your sizing or ordering incorrectly or your
misunderstanding of information. We will refund or reproduce anything that
is our fault. We are not responsible for mistakes beyond our control.
